We\u2019ve been Algolia partners since 2020. We first implemented Algolia as part of the technical architecture for the best-of-breed solution we developed for our client Sport 2000. Since then, Algolia has become a permanent fixture in our toolkit.<\/p>\n

In recent months, we’ve noticed a trend towards specialization in the various components we use within a commerce stack. Increasingly, complex demands from shop operators cannot be adequately addressed by a monolithic commerce suite, which might include a built-in search solution. Often, it makes more sense to assemble a specialized, yet independent, set of services into a unified solution, allowing for greater flexibility and future scalability.<\/p>\n

What stands out most: Algolia is incredibly fast! This is thanks to its extensive query capabilities, which we use not only for search but also for product, brand, and blog listings.<\/p>\n

From a technical perspective, Algolia is highly flexible due to its API-driven approach, and the system continuously learns and improves itself through machine learning and AI. And the benefits of AI extend beyond search\u2014we can optimize recommendations and product rankings with it too.<\/p>\n

From the customer’s perspective, Algolia delivers truly personalized results. It\u2019s not just about matching search terms with a database; it incorporates information about the searcher into the results as well.<\/p>\n

Beyond that, merchants can also strategically optimize the delivery of search results with Algolia, fine-tuning facets\/filters and sorting options. They can also use factors such as profit margins or available stock to optimize rankings further.<\/p>\n

We are currently using Algolia with our client ANWR for the platforms Sport2000 and schuhe.de. We\u2019ve also implemented Algolia for our client Hirmer Eckerle during a comprehensive flexibility initiative: since November 2022, eckerle.de<\/strong> has been using Algolia for search. Altogether, since 2020, we\u2019ve implemented three complex best-of-breed e-commerce architectures using Algolia, with three more currently under development.<\/p>\n

We\u2019ve repeatedly integrated Algolia with commercetools. To ensure smooth operation that aligns with both our standards and those of our clients, we\u2019ve developed our own connector to synchronize product data, brand content, and blog posts.<\/p>\n
