MACH Alliance
At a glance
To become a member of the MACH Alliance, you have to prove that MACH is not just a slide but works in real systems. We have delivered that proof. Microservices, API-first, Cloud-native, Headless: the four principles we have been building commerce architectures on since 2016.

The MACH Alliance is a vendor-independent non-profit organization founded in 2020, today with more than 100 members across six continents. MACH stands for Microservices, API-first, Cloud-native and Headless: four principles that together form the foundation for Composable Commerce.
Membership is granted exclusively through a certification process that checks whether these principles are implemented in real client projects, not just in pitch decks. Analysts like Forrester describe MACH certification as a mark of quality for future-proof technology partners.
The four MACH principles
Microservices
Independent services for clear ownership and targeted further development.
API-first
Every function is accessible through an API, with no hidden backend and no lock-ins.
Cloud-native
Fully developed and operated in the cloud, scaling with load and business.
Headless
Frontend and backend are cleanly decoupled, so every touchpoint can be controlled independently.
Why MACH membership matters for our clients
For retailers and decision-makers, MACH certification is a strong signal. Working with a certified partner means knowing that its architectural approach has been reviewed by an independent, vendor-neutral organization. That builds trust on a level that goes beyond references and self-presentation.
We have been building on MACH principles since 2016: clear system boundaries, clean data flows, transparent processes. This way of working creates what we call digital autonomy. You can evolve systems at any time, swap out individual components and map new business models technologically, without becoming dependent on a single vendor. That is exactly what the certification process confirmed.
