Standard and C-parts available online for the first time at Stoxxparts

The online platform offers customers in engineering and technical purchasing, who are looking for a specific product, an assembly or the product solution for their technical use case, a wide selection of standard parts, and the range is being expanded step by step. Pinpointing the right specialized article used to be at least laborious. Those days are now over. Thanks to the digitization of a broad assortment and a smartly designed product search, finding and buying the once hard-to-source, unusual specialized articles digitally is now almost child's play.

FINDING THE RIGHT PRODUCT FAST AMONG 40,000 STOCK KEEPING UNITS

At the heart of the platform is, of course, the extensive, very granular assortment with a large number of product variants. Currently this range covers around 40,000 SKUs (stock keeping units), meaning products and product variants. Since these are highly specific, the search function is one of the most important ways to find your way around the platform. To help users navigate here, a Semknox search was implemented and configured right in the current Minimum Viable Product (MVP). Semknox offers a so-called semantic search that provides diverse configuration options beyond the standard and continuously learns through artificial intelligence.

100 DAYS CHOSE SHOPMACHER AND NEKOM TO IMPLEMENT THE B2B COMMERCE PLATFORM

At the consulting level, the digitization project at Stoxxparts was and is led by 100 DAYS software projects. Shopmacher and Nekom were identified and commissioned as technology partners for the implementation of the B2B commerce and development platform. "Shopmacher have a deep understanding of B2B processes and a lot of experience in setting up digital sales channels, especially in the B2B space," says Gaylord Aulke, Managing Director of 100 DAYS software projects GmbH. "On top of that, they developed the B2B suite together with Nekom. That gives them a three-phase model for B2B sales digitization that is both proven and pragmatically flexible. We benefited from this expertise on this project for Stoxxparts."

The Austrian company Nekom is an established provider of middleware, so its solutions make sure that processes such as order and payment handling, supply and logistics run smoothly in the backend of the commerce platform.

The Berlin agency Silberpuls was responsible for user experience and design.

EVOLVING THE PLATFORM AFTER THE GO-LIVE OF THE MVP

After the now completed go-live of the MVP, the current plans call for Shopmacher, Nekom and Silberpuls to quickly push the development of the digital platform forward in close collaboration with 100 DAYS and the Stoxxparts project team. The focus here is the gradual and continuous expansion of the B2B sales, consulting and service features, such as an online chat or a free CAD download.

Stoxxparts aims to build a loyal customer base, to be reached and retained through high-quality, in-stock products, excellent consulting and an intuitive, high-performance online shop.
