BatteryIncluded is a technology partner that offers a modern search and recommendation system as a SaaS solution. With its Hybrid LLM Search, the self-funded company from Germany has built a solution that combines deep language understanding with up-to-date onsite results, measurably increasing the conversion of e-commerce platforms. The decisive point: as a fully self-funded company without external investors, BatteryIncluded operates independently while guaranteeing data security that is 100 percent GDPR-compliant. The technical architecture means the result lists keep improving themselves, flexibly, performantly and continuously.

What convinced us was the combination of a clear technological vision and the way Simon and Thomas approached us. At that point, Hybrid LLM Search was not yet the buzzword everyone was throwing around, but something BatteryIncluded had actually built. On top of that, a SaaS solution made in Germany, GDPR-compliant and without investor pressure. That fits our consulting reality: we only recommend technology to clients when there is a team behind it that will still be around in five years and sets its own roadmap. And honestly, the spirit was decisive too. The conversations in October 2023 were at eye level, technically deep and without sales loops. That is exactly how we picture working with a tech partner.

Speed and substance at once. When our developers ask a question in Slack, the reply is rarely a marketing answer but usually the answer of a developer who has already understood the problem. That saves days. On top of that comes a rare quality: BatteryIncluded delivers even when things get tight. ZEG and Servoprax are not playgrounds but enterprise contexts with real requirements. Both projects showed that the roadmap does not only exist on slides but in the code. And when something does not fit out of the box, we think it through, build and ship it together, instead of putting things off until the next release.

We want to develop the partnership further, both technologically and in terms of content, always with the aim of getting the best for our shared clients. Concretely, that means thinking deeper into the possibilities of Hybrid LLM Search, opening up new use cases in recommendations and search together, and feeding our experience from the live projects back into product development. That only works if you challenge and take each other seriously. That is exactly what we have been doing since early 2024, and we do not intend to change it.
