The Shopmacher are a member of the MACH Alliance
Why we became a member
But conviction alone is not enough. A strong community is needed to spread and promote this way of thinking. We continue to see that the advantages of modular architectures are not recognized clearly enough in many companies, that decision-makers cling to monolithic systems because the change seems complex and that potential remains untapped. Shopmacher wants to help change this. We want to make IT better. And the MACH Alliance is the right place to do this together.
What it means to be MACH-certified
This is a strong signal for retailers and decision-makers. Anyone working with a MACH-certified partner knows that their architecture approach has been tested by an independent, vendor-neutral organization. This creates trust on a level that goes beyond references and self-presentation.
How we live MACH
For each building block of a commerce solution, we select the technology that best suits the respective project, whether PIM, search, content management, payment or commerce core. The decisive factor is not a fixed set of tools, but the ability to put together the right combination for the specific requirements and to integrate them cleanly. This is what makes the difference between a MACH slide and a MACH architecture.

How retailers ruin their onlineshop system calculations
Most selection processes for shop systems suffer from a shortened horizon. Retailers compare one-off license and implementation costs, but systematically ignore the expenses that become decisive over the life cycle of three to five years. Shopmacher have developed a TCO calculator to help online retailers calculate the actual costs.
Merch as a service
Merch as a Service is a curated operating infrastructure: we take proven SaaS solutions and orchestrate them into a functioning ecosystem – coordinated with each other, ready for production from the outset.
The result: an operation that runs reliably, predictably and efficiently. No vendor lock-in, no proprietary dependencies – all building blocks are established market solutions that we configure, orchestrate and operate for you.
The initial situation: Why a foundation made of toothpicks brings down every project
Anyone building a house first checks the building ground. Anyone starting a digital project often ignores this step and is later surprised to find cracks in the façade. The problem: every unresolved assumption about the actual condition costs many times over in the later course of the project. If there is a lack of documentation and the knowledge only exists in the heads of individual employees, every innovation becomes a risky blind flight.
